I had the awesome opportunity to cruise this ship twice since she made her debut in the Spring of 2013. Our first encounter was an amazing cruise to Bermuda, and our last encounter was a group cruise going to “Nowhere.” Each time she did not disappoint.
The Breakaway was actually the first ship that I have cruised through Norwegian, so at first I was a little skeptical. I no longer feel that way and I will be cruising Norwegian later on in the year.
We had a balcony stateroom on our Bermuda cruise. I loved the contemporary and modern style. We enjoyed lounging by the pool and listening to the live reggae band…. They were excellent!!
We loved watching Fire and Ice perform in the Atrium every night as well. We are simple cruisers, so it doesn’t take much to entertain us. The glow party and 80’s party was a hit! We had so much fun up at Spice H20.
On our cruise to Nowhere we had a mini-suite which is very similar to a balcony cabin, but the multi-head shower and double sinks were a huge plus for us :-). We didn’t get to enjoy Fire and Ice on this cruise, but Impac did a great job in the Atrium. The glow party was inside on this particular cruise and it wasn’t as fun as having it outside, but our group made it amazingly awesome!! Yes we partied hard!!!
All in all, it was a very enjoyable experience. Both cruises were enjoyable and even though it was the same ship for both cruises the experience was different each time. I highly recommend this ship to every type of cruiser. There is something for everyone.
The Norwegian Getaway just made her debut this month and will be leaving out of Miami, Florida. She is the sister ship to the awesome Breakaway….. Anyone who has cruised this ship and would like to post a review, please let me know so that I can feature you on my blog.
